Alone in Windstorm is a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mod yes, but it's not your typical S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game. It's more of an indie game build on the CoC Engine. We're far from the Zone here, in a remote weather station lost on Russia's Kola Peninsula. There's no mutants, factions or anomalies. Only the bitter cold and wild animals waitng for their next meal.
Cut off from the outside world and running low on supplies, you'll need to find a way out of this freezing world. You'll have to navigate using a hand-drawn map and compass, manage hunger, thirst, cold, craft essential tools, weapons, and hunt and fish to survive.
Alone in Windstorm is a beautiful, atmospheric and deeply immersive experience for people who love slow, careful exploration and demanding survival mechanics. A fully voiced, original story that unfolds through letters, recordings, and the remains of a world you're trying to escape.

Download & Installation
Installation Instructions
Download Archive, extract, move game folder to the root of your drive, launch game with "Start game.bat"
(If not using the repack) Download the game files and Tyvian translation, links are below
Extract everything, copy TheMrDemonized translation first in your main game folder
Copy Tyvian's translation next and overwrite files when prompted
Copy the contents of "Corrections For TheMrDemonized Translation" in gamedata\configs\text\eng
Launch game with the .bat file
Troubleshooting & Tips
- Mod won’t launch: Go to your Windows Settings -> Time & Language -> Language -> Administrative Language Settings and Tick the box “Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support”
- Make sure you have the “Essentials” found on top of the page installed
